I am very excited to announce that I will be joining the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as the Percussion Area Head next year. It’s a great school with a great music department, and I am really looking forward to working with the students and faculty there, and in the city of Milwaukee! For at least the next year, I will still live in Chicago and commute to Milwaukee.
Outside of that big news, the summer has been going along nicely. I have been teaching private lessons along with some fun gigs, such as playing with the Wisconsin Philharmonic and playing orchestral arrangements with a traveling rock n’ roll show. I also have one family trip in the books and I am looking forward to another next week. Soon, all my efforts will turn to getting ready for the new school year and preparing a recital or two. More news on performances for the coming academic year will come early in the fall!
